1. What cookies are and what this policy covers
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device. They let the site recognise your device and remember, for example, that you are signed in. Your browser can also keep small pieces of information in its local storage or its session storage; these work in a similar way, but they are not sent with every request. In this policy, "cookies" covers both, unless we say otherwise.
Total Print Hub Inc. ("Total Print Hub", "we", "us", "our") builds and operates Total Print Hub. Total Print Hub Inc. is a corporation; all of its shares are held by ITLOX, Inc., a Delaware corporation.
This policy covers:
- our website totalprinthub.com;
- our help site docs.totalprinthub.com;
- the product: the Admin, where merchants and their staff work, and the tools that shoppers use in a merchant's store (Design Studio, Gang Sheet Builder, Instant Merch, Branded Stores, and the design approvals page).
It does not cover a merchant's own store, the store platform (Shopify or WooCommerce), or the pages of a billing provider. Other companies run those, and their own policies apply there.
This Cookie Policy explains which cookies we use, why we use them, and how you can manage them. Read it together with our Privacy Policy.
2. Legal basis for cookies
Under the UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR), and under the matching rules of the European Union:
- strictly necessary cookies need no consent, because they are needed to provide a service that you have asked for;
- every other cookie (analytics, functional, or marketing) needs your freely given, specific, informed, and unambiguous consent before it is set;
- you may withdraw a consent, or change your choice, at any time.
Every cookie that we set ourselves is strictly necessary: each one keeps you signed in, keeps your session, or protects a step such as installing the app. The items that the product keeps in your browser's storage (section 3.2) are there so that a tool works as you left it. We set no cookie that needs consent. If that changes, we ask for your consent first (section 7).
3. The cookies and storage we use
3.1 Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are needed for the service to work. They cannot be switched off in the service, and they need no consent.
| Cookie | Purpose | Provider | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| CookieConsent | Stores your cookie consent choice so that you are not asked again on every visit | Cookiebot (Usercentrics A/S) | 12 months |
| Cookie | Purpose | Provider | Duration |

| tph_merchant_session | Keeps a merchant, or a member of its staff, signed in to a Total Print Hub account | Total Print Hub | 4 hours; the session also ends after 30 minutes without activity |
| tph_woo_admin_session | Keeps the Admin open for the merchant of a WooCommerce store | Total Print Hub | 4 hours |
| tph_oauth_state and tph_oauth_return_to | Protect the step in which Total Print Hub is installed in a Shopify store, and remember where to return afterwards | Total Print Hub | 10 minutes; removed when the step ends |
| tph_studio_session and tph_commerce_studio_session | Keep a shopper's Design Studio session | Total Print Hub | 4 hours |

Each of these cookies is hidden from the scripts of the page, is limited to the address that set it, and is sent only over a secure connection. None is used for analytics or for advertising.
3.2 Storage in your browser
The product also keeps a few items in your browser's own storage. They stay in your browser and are not sent as cookies.
Design Studio: a pointer to your unsaved draft (a session number, not the design itself), which is dropped after 14 days; your standing confirmation of upload rights; a snapshot that is used when you switch product; and a marker that guards against a repeated reload.Instant Merch: its session key, kept for the browser tab.The Admin: your layout choices, the view you chose for the production list, and the time at which a pause on the account was lifted.
None of these items is used for analytics or for advertising.
3.3 Analytics cookies
We set none. Neither of our websites, and no page of the product, loads an analytics script.
3.4 Functional and preference cookies
We set none. The preferences that the Admin remembers are kept in your browser's storage (section 3.2).
3.5 Security and anti-spam
The cookies that protect sign-in and the installation step are listed in section 3.1. Our contact form protects itself without a cookie: it uses a hidden field and a limit on how many requests one sender can make.
3.6 Marketing and targeting cookies
We set none. We do not use merchants' or shoppers' data for third-party advertising or for tracking across sites.
3.7 Where nothing is set
Our help site, docs.totalprinthub.com: it sets no cookie, uses no browser storage, and loads no consent tool and no outside script.The Total Print Hub plugin for WooCommerce and the Total Print Hub block for Shopify themes: they set no cookie and use no browser storage of their own.
4. Your choice and how to manage cookies
4.1 The consent tool on totalprinthub.com
Our website totalprinthub.com loads the consent tool Cookiebot, a service of Usercentrics A/S, before the page becomes active. The tool asks for your choice and holds back anything that needs consent until you have chosen. It stores your choice in the cookie named in section 3.1.
4.2 Where there is no consent tool
Our help site and the product (the Admin, the Design Studio, the design approvals page, the plugin for WooCommerce, and the block for Shopify themes) do not load the consent tool. They set no cookie at all, or only strictly necessary cookies, which need no consent.
4.3 Changing your choice
You can change your choice on totalprinthub.com at any time: delete the cookies of totalprinthub.com in your browser, and the consent tool asks you again on your next visit.
4.4 Browser controls
Every common browser lets you see, block, and delete cookies and site data in its privacy settings. If you block the product's cookies, you cannot stay signed in, and the Design Studio cannot keep your session. If you clear the product's storage, the Design Studio no longer has the pointer to your unsaved draft.
4.5 If you are a shopper
A merchant's store is the merchant's own website. Its cookies, and the choices it offers, are the merchant's. Read the store's own cookie notice, or ask the merchant.
5. Cookies set by others
Some things that you see while you use Total Print Hub come from other companies. We do not control what those companies store on your device.
The consent tool: Cookiebot sets the cookie named in section 3.1.Shopify: inside Shopify, the Admin is shown within Shopify's own pages and loads Shopify's own script for that purpose. Shopify's policies apply to what Shopify stores.Video services: a merchant can show a tutorial video from a video service inside the Design Studio; that service may set its own cookies.Billing providers: Shopify's billing screen, and Stripe's checkout and customer portal, are pages of those companies, and their policies apply there.
We load no analytics service and no advertising service.
6. How long cookies last
Cookies with a fixed lifetime: each cookie in section 3.1 stops working at the end of the time shown for it. The cookies of the installation step are removed when the step ends.Your consent choice: the cookie that stores your choice on totalprinthub.com is kept for 12 months from the date of your choice.Browser storage: the pointer to an unsaved draft is dropped after 14 days. The session key of Instant Merch lasts for the browser tab. The other items stay in your browser until the tool replaces or removes them, or until you clear the site's data.Deleting them yourself: you can delete cookies and site data at any time in your browser's settings.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when we change the cookies we use, when the law or the guidance of a regulator changes, or for another operational reason. We post the new version with a new "Last updated" date. If we add a cookie that needs consent, we ask for your consent before we set it.
